I'm COLD!!!!

Okay, leave it to me to pick the unseasonably cold summer in New Zealand! I've been a good sport about it up til now, but I think I'll go insane if we have one more cloudy day!!! I want to see the sun! Luckily we had beautiful weather for our six days of hiking last week. (I couldn't walk after that, but it was well worth it!) but the weeks after Sam and Travis left up til then, and now the week after that, have been pissing rain! I bought a rain jacket! I've never owned a rain jacket! It's a nice rain jacket, and so sometimes I wear it even when I don't need to, but it's still a RAIN JACKET!!! I'm supposed to be applying sunscreen every two hours!!

Never-the-less, the country is still beautiful. I'm in Wanaka today, stayed in the Purple Cow hostle last night. It was VERY nice! It's kinda hit and miss with hostels. They have a small movie theatre inside and everything! Perfect for a rainy day! And there is this little theatre here in town that plays all of the new movies coming out, but instead of sitting in those uncomfortable theatre seats, you get to sit in cushy couches! There's even a car in there if you'd like the drive in feel! Fresh cookies at intermission (they create their own intermission), and homemade icecream to boot! SO MUCH FUN!

Well, we're off to the puzzling world museum thingy now! We have a list from the isite of things to do in Wanaka on a rainy day. Then, I'm on my way back to Queenstown. Rachelle comes in at the end of the week, and I've done most of what I want to do in the south now. I think it's the perfect time to sleep for a whole day and get rid of this nasty sore throaght that I woke up with this morning! Beh!

Well, keep warm everyone. It's probably about the same temperature over there as it is here!
